When Dave Keeble had a business called ‘Toad in the Hole’ that did all the catering for band tours including Queen, Abba, Fleetwood Mac and many more. He has cooked for many famous people over his years, and then came the idea of opening a Deli in Barry.
Thats when Dave and wife Lynda opened Food For Thought in 1983. After a lot of paperwork, signing and courses they opened the shop in November. The business started as a traditional Delicatessen serving wines, cheeses, cooked meats, olives and everything else you find in a Deli.
Their son Nathan then became heavily involved with the family business along side his sisters Zoe and Hannah. Many successful years had gone by and in 2011 Dave and Lynda retired.
Their son Nathan along with wife Sarah took over the family business to continue serving the customers of Barry. With many more years of success, we were then put to a stop when we decided to close our doors for 6 weeks during the main lockdown of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
we reopened 6 weeks later, with a lot of restrictions and rules in place for social distancing. We then returned back to normal, and are still doing what we do best
The next step will be Nathan and Sarah’s son Leroy taking over the family business to take it into the third generation. He is massively involved in the business now, and is looking forward to taking the business further
